IntraHealth is one of the UK’s leading providers of NHS Primary and Community Care services. We serve a range of patients across our three divisions of Primary Care (general practice), Pharmacy and Clinical Services which includes anticoagulation monitoring, patient medication reviews and childhood immunisation programmes.
We are a well-established organisation having provided NHS services since 1999. We operate NHS services across the North East, Yorkshire, the Midlands and North West. Our team is made up of a wide range of healthcare professionals and administrative roles including GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), Nurses, Pharmacists, Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and local administration teams. Our frontline teams are supported by a centralised back office function; providing executive, finance, HR, administration and data analysis support.
We operate NHS services across the North East, North West and Yorkshire.
We have an exciting opportunity for existing staff members to be part of the national pharmacy technician workforce expansion project. We can provide three training positions within our practices and pharmacies to develop the next generation of pharmacy technicians.
The successful candidate(s) would undertake a 2 year cross-sector placement between one of our pharmacies and GP surgeries. You will be given the benefit of training alongside experienced teams and supported by Pharmacists and Technicians, who have a proven record of training others.
The surgeries and pharmacies taking part are;
• IntraHealth Pharmacy Peterlee with EPMG (William Brown Centre)
• Belmont Pharmacy with Belmont Surgery
• West Cornforth Pharmacy with West Cornforth Surgery
• Cheapside and Hallgarth Surgery
• Brook Square Surgery, Scarborough
The trainee would undertake a 2 year distance learning training program with the support of their designated supervisor. Applicants must be committed to the completion of the training course, with good time management and organisational skills to balance work and training requirements. Entry requirements for this course are possessing the equivalent of four GCSEs at Grade C and above, including mathematics, English language, science and one other subject.
On completion of the two year apprenticeship you will be eligible to register with the GPhC as a registered Pharmacy Technician.
