If you need an appointment outside of core surgery hours then please speak to our reception team regarding extended access appointments. Evening and weekend appointments are available at our surgery and local surgeries – including for vaccinations, health checks and screenings. Book with our reception team for appointments during the following hours:
To register with our surgery please complete an Online Patient Registration Form (for both adults and children) and a New Patient Questionnaire (required for adults only). These can also be obtained from our reception team or printed from the above links, please bring any forms printed and completed to the surgery. We don’t need to see ID from patients, but we may ask for supporting documentation as it can help the surgery find your medical records or transfer them from your current GP. If you do not have a permanent address you can still register using a temporary address, please speak to the reception team.
New patients can join our surgery from outside our catchment area. Our catchment area covers NE31, NE32, NE33 and NE34 areas. Visitors to the area may attend our surgery and register as a temporary resident; this means you can arrange an appointment for friends or relatives staying with you or a child home from university, please speak to the reception team.
When you get in touch we will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
Our PPG works to improve communication between the surgery and its patients, to ensure the services we offer meet the needs of all our patients. We are always looking for enthusiastic people to join the group, share ideas on how services could be changed or improved and be involved in making those changes for the good of the patients and the surgery. If you are interested in getting involved or would just like to find out more, please contact our Practice Manager.
To meet the increasing needs of patients our surgery is working together with community, mental health, social care, pharmacy, hospital and voluntary services in the local area in groups of surgeries known as primary care networks (PCNs). Our surgery is part of the South Tyneside East PCN (who currently have no website presence).
Integrated care system (ICS) are partnerships of organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up health and care services, and to improve the lives of people who live and work in their area. Our surgery is part of the North East and Cumbria ICS.
